Rushmon Homes now has Egham Connections

Rushmon Homes now has Egham Connections
30th January, 2008

Cobham developer Rushmon Homes continues to expand its portfolio of exclusive Surrey developments with the imminent launch of the latest addition: Connections in Egham.

Connections, anticipated to launch in April, is located on Egham Hill and will consist of 12 two-bedroom apartments and five three-bedroom terraced houses. The development, in true Rushmon Homes’ style, has been specifically designed to blend perfectly with the surrounding residential area. The plans show that there are to be two buildings of apartments and one row of houses, all set in landscaped grounds with large areas of lawn edged by shrubs and trees. Access to Connections will be via its own private road, yet for all this leafy tranquility, it will also be within easy reach of Egham town centre, surely a major selling-point in itself.

Egham is a typically affluent small Surrey town. The High Street is pedestrian friendly and there’s a monthly farmers’ market. Its history is a distant one, but the most significant event to happen in Egham was undoubtedly the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215 in Runnymede Meadows, now commemorated by a classical temple-style memorial. Most of the Thames-side meadows are now in the care of the National Trust, a boon for Egham residents. Another famous Egham building, at the other end of the scale architecturally, is the French Renaissance style Royal Holloway College, opened in 1886.

The apartments at Connections are to have a stylish modern specification with all the contemporary desirables. These will include fully fitted, custom designed kitchens with an integrated oven, stainless steel hob and extractor hood, integrated washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. En suites and bathrooms will have Kohler white sanitaryware with chrome fittings and tiled floors with the comfort of underfloor heating. All rooms are to have elegant ash-effect doors to give a light modern look and both bedrooms will be double size.

The houses will have similar interior features: a fully fitted kitchen complete with breakfast area, a downstairs W.C and a well-proportioned living/dining room with French doors opening onto the garden. Upstairs the master bedroom is to have an en suite shower room and there will be a family bathroom too, of course. All the properties will be wired for Sky Plus satellite TV and have telephone points and TV points in the living room and all bedrooms.

Anticipated prices for Connections range from around £290,000 for the apartments and from around £395,000 for the houses, and with such an excellent location, interest levels are likely to be high.
