15th November, 2007
Cobham based developer Rushmon Homes recently had the honour of welcoming the Worshipful Mayor of Sutton, Councillor Myfanwy Wallace, to officiate at the launch of its show apartment at Aspirations, in Sutton. After formally opening the show apartment, Councillor Wallace commented on the impressiveness of the property’s layout and interior design. “It is good to see that Rushmon Homes is adding such attractive new homes to Sutton’s choice of properties for sale,” she said.
After thanking the Mayor, Rushmon Homes’ Sales & Marketing Director Alan Taylor said: “The success of Aspirations is undoubtedly a reflection of the good work done by everyone involved in the development, from our sales team and site management, through to our sub-contractors, tradesmen and our selling agents, Bairstow Eves. Since our sales launch in the Spring, we have already achieved sales on 12 of the apartments and today we open the show apartment with just seven homes remaining to sell.”
Aspirations comprises a range of two bedroom apartments in
Visitors to the show apartment since the launch have commented on the chic, modern specification combined with the intelligent use of space and careful attention to detail. It has been ‘dressed’ by Alexander James Interiors, whose designer Jamie-Lee Tegg has chosen a bright and warm colour scheme of aubergine, lime and cream. The tone throughout is welcoming and contemporary, with 1930s inspired oak and chrome streamlined furniture in the living room and a stunning fluted headboard on the master bedroom bed, flanked by wenge wood side tables in deep chocolate.
The apartments at Apsitations have custom designed fitted kitchens, with integrated and stainless steel appliances, white and chrome bathrooms and en-suites, cherry-effect doors, the latest underfloor heating, and downlighters in the halls, kitchens, bathrooms and en-suites.
In line with current concerns about sustainable living, many eco-friendly features have also been incorporated into the design. Alan Taylor said that Rushmon Homes is very keen to promote any measures that can contribute to a reduction in the carbon footprint.
“With the encouragement and support of the London Borough of Sutton, we have included a number or environmentally friendly features at Aspirations,” he continued. “For instance, solar panels that will endeavour to provide 100% of the energy for communal lighting and power, something that residents will certainly notice in the form of lower service charges. In the grounds there are water butts to collect rainwater for irrigation of communal landscaping, and inside the apartments, we have provided dual-flush WCs to save water and, wherever possible, ‘A’-rated energy efficient kitchen appliances. In common with all of our developments, the new homes at Aspirations are being constructed using the latest energy efficient materials which will ensure they are both easy to maintain and economical to run.”
In recognition of the Mayor officiating at the launch, Rushmon Homes has also made a donation of £150 to her selected charity for Parkinsons’ Disease.
The remaining apartments at Aspirations are priced from £264,950. For further information about Aspirations or any Rushmon Homes developments, visit www.rushmonhomes.co.uk or call 01932 586777.
