Park View - the name says it all at Rushmon Homes' luxury development in Guildford

Park View - the name says it all at Rushmon Homes' luxury development in Guildford
31st August, 2007

Park View: there could be no other name for Rushmon Homes’ small and very select development of 12 apartments on the eastern side of Guildford. It’s one of the major selling points for these two and three bedroom luxury apartments and duplexes, which are just across the road from the velvety green expanses

of Stoke Park. And with every apartment having at least one patio or balcony looking out over it, each resident has a ‘park view’ all of their own.

It’s hardly surprising that all but two of the apartments are now reserved. One, two bedroom apartment remains, priced at £336,000, as well as one very large three bedroom duplex on

the second and third floors, priced at £645,000. As a special late Summer incentive, Rushmon Homes is currently offering to pay the stamp duty on the one remaining two bedroom home.

However, incentives hardly seem to be necessary at Park View. Thanks to a magical combination of superior product and choice location, all the reservations have been made off-plan. Buyers also like the fact that the development is relatively small, with

only six apartments off each entrance, which will help to keep

the communal areas quiet and the lifts easily available.

People are buying at Park View for all kinds of reasons: downsizing, upscaling, relocating, and a broad range of sizes

and prices gives these apartments wide appeal. What they

have in common is a high quality specification where elegant contemporary comfort is the theme. There are custom designed kitchens with solid granite worktops, and including all appliances; lavish white bathrooms and en-suites; light oak veneer doors; electric underfloor heating; ceramic tiled floors in the kitchens, bathrooms and en-suites. The car park is underground with lift access straight into the apartment building.

But above all, it’s the location. Stoke Park, measuring 70 hectares, is one of Guildford’s treasures and the venue for annual civic events such as the Surrey County Agricultural Show and Guildfest. There are picnic areas, a woodland walk, a Georgian timber framed barn which can be hired for functions, an award winning sensory garden, football, bowling, cricket, even lacrosse. The adjacent Victorian ornamental gardens are another feature.

As well as its lovely parks, of which Stoke Park is only one, Guildford has so many other advantages. With its university

and cathedral, it qualifies as a city, yet it’s more accessible and pleasant than the big conurbations. The High Street is traffic

free and the shops include many upmarket labels that indicate Guildford’s affluence: Brora, Caroline Charles, Jaeger, Whistles.

In addition there are more down-to-earth brands such as French Connection, Oasis and Top Shop. The big name stores have a presence too: Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, Heals, House

of Fraser. There’s a great selection of restaurants and bars, a traditional market, and the Spectrum Leisure Centre, just across Stoke Park, is one of the best of its kind in the UK.

Park View also suits commuters very well. The nearest station, London Road, can be reached on foot, but there are also bus services – with a bus stop right outside the development – to London Road and the mainline Guildford station, where there

are non-stop services to Waterloo taking around 40 minutes.

It would seem that Park View really ‘has it all’: a fantastic location, luxury specification, balconies and patios, parking and…..a park!
