Small is beautiful at Rushmon Homes' Azure development in Hounslow
31st August, 2007

Not everyone wants, or can afford, a vast apartment with acres of space and probably one bathroom too many for their needs. The quality of the finish, coupled with the convenience of the location, will often make a home more appealing, especially when one is a first time buyer with a busy life and limited cash to spend on furnishing. Rushmon Homes has the perfect solution for these people, at its Azure development in Hounslow.

There are just two apartments left at this attractive new development in the town centre. Both could be described as ‘bijou’; but what they lack in square feet is more than compensated for in specification and sheer value for money. Both with two bedrooms, they are very competitively priced at £219,950, and for reservations made before 3rd September, there’s stamp duty paid, making a very welcome saving of nearly £2,200.

Unusually, these apartments include the luxury Amtico flooring in the hall and kitchen/living room as part of their specification. At Azure, Rushmon has chosen a pale coloured wood effect, not only tasteful and modern but also practical, as Amtico is extremely durable and easy to keep clean. In the bedrooms, each apartment has fitted carpet underfoot. Other desirables in the specification include contemporary fitted kitchens with oven, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer; ladder style heated towel rails; glass shower screens; ash-effect doors and, as a space-saving idea, electric underfloor heating.

Azure would make an ideal pied-à-terre for a busy professional who works in central London, or perhaps a young couple setting up home together. The second bedroom of each apartment could be the perfect home office, even a baby’s room. Or, for a single girl with more clothes than hanging space, even a walk-in wardrobe/dressing room: very ‘Sex and the City’!

The High Street and the tube and overground stations are both close to Azure with Hounslow Central on the Piccadilly Line and a direct journey into the West End (Piccadilly Circus about 35 minutes); trains from Hounslow station go into Waterloo (average 40 minutes). Hounslow is also extremely convenient for Heathrow, only 13 minutes on the tube, so anyone who works there or travels for business will find their commuting times very short.

Hounslow is undergoing something of a renaissance at the moment. The brand new Blenheim Centre is now all but complete, a £220 million, mixed-use development just to the north of the High Street, comprising shops, a cinema, big branch of Asda, and various leisure/office/community facilities, along with transport improvements and extra parking. The longer established Treaty Centre also has a good range of shops. As a change from the urban bustle, Hounslow has some attractive open spaces, Inwood Park and Lampton Park, plus the very much larger Hounslow Heath Nature Reserve.

The two remaining apartments at Azure, plot s 5 and 9, are now both priced at £219,950, with stamp duty paid. For further information about Azure or any Rushmon Homes developments, visit www.rushmonhomes.co.uk or call 01932 586777.
